Gadangme Council of Asafoatsemei and Asafoanyemei (Royal Guards), in collaboration with the Peace Tower of Africa to hold under the auspices of the National Peace Council. This landmark event seeks to promote peace and unity before, during, and after the 2024 general elections in Ghana.

Addressing lection-Related violence in recent years, Ghana has witnessed election-related violence, often fueled by politicians exploiting youths and Royal Guards . To combat this, the Gadangme Council has united all Royal Guards in Accra to champion peace and stability throughout the electoral process.

The Peace Walk and Peace Talk 2024 event aims to bridge the divide among politicians and political groups, fostering a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence. This maiden edition will bring together:

Heads of Political Parties,Traditional Rulers, The Clergy, Muslim leaders,Representatives of Government institutions and the general public.

This initiative aligns with the National Peace Council's efforts to ensure peaceful elections in Ghana.

The Council has been working tirelessly to promote peace education, dialogue, and sensitization across the country.

Breaking News!Elder Paul Perkoh, Disqualified Presidential Candidate, to Take Electoral Commission to Court

 

Elder Paul Perkoh, a disqualified presidential candidate in Ghana's upcoming 2024 general election, has expressed his disappointment and frustration with the Electoral Commission's decision. In a press release, Elder Perkoh announced that he will be taking legal action against the Commission to seek justice and fairness .

Elder Perkoh intends to head to the Supreme Court to clarify whether the Electoral Commission has the judicial powers to determine who becomes the President of Ghana. He emphasized the importance of protecting the laws and constitution of Ghana from any institution or individual that may attempt to subvert or skew them for personal or parochial interests.

Elder Perkoh and his National Movement for Liberation will address the nation on November 12, 2024, at GLOCSA hall from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. During this media engagement conference, he will highlight key policies and other transformative plans including programmes which include; Job Creation, Education, Corruption, Governance, and Illegal mining.

Elder Perkoh,  will also use the opportunity to announce which political party or presidential candidate will benefit from his supporters' votes in the December 7, 2024, general elections.

The National Movement for Liberation is calling on civil society organizations, faith-based organizations, the Peace Council, media, and all stakeholders to support the protection of Ghana's constitution and ensure a free, fair, and transparent election.
